don’t miss a free throw!
don’t miss a well check!

the ask

Regular well checks for children and teens provide opportunities for health education and early detection. These preventive services are critical for those who face barriers to care. CareSource saw a need to raise awareness about the importance of annual well child visits among children and their parents in the College Park area of Atlanta, where their data showed a gap in care.

the execution

Dalton was able to zero in to this key area through a partnership with the College Park Skyhawks, an NBA G-League basketball team. We activated a “Don’t Miss a Free Throw, Don’t Miss a Well Check” challenge at collaborative community outreach events and Skyhawks home games, including an Education Day game with several local area schools are in attendance.

We engaged and educated the  audience about the importance of well checks with an in-game free throw challenge for prizes, surrounding LED signage, PA announcements, a program ad and social media content. The client’s presence on the concourse included mascot integration as well as a provider partners who were able to schedule future well check visits onsite.
