In 2008 and 2009, a tough economy hit Jacksonville and Jaguar fans hard. For the first time, all but one of the Jacksonville Jaguar 2009 home games were blacked out. Which left many wondering about the future of the franchise, despite a committed ownership. Enter Touchdown Jacksonville and Dalton.
The Dalton Agency teamed up with fellow AMIN (Advertising & Marketing International Network) Agency, Peter Mayer in New Orleans to assist them by filming Jaguar’s coach Jack Del Rio to participate in a new campaign called ‘Be the One,’ an effort to restore the Gulf of Mexico. Sandra Bullock, Blake Lively, Peyton Manning and Drew Brees are also featured in the video to help spread awareness.
“It is a priority to us to give back to our community and state by donating our time and services to those in need,” said Jim Dalton, agency president and CEO. “We are happy we had the opportunity to lend a hand with the ‘Be the One’ campaign and spread the word about the importance of the restoration of the Gulf.”
Special thanks to photographer Paul Figura who donated his services to the filming of the video. To see the “Be the One” campaign, or sign the petition and to learn more about Restore the Gulf, visit http://www.restorethegulf.com.

“#JagWatch in full effect” is a popular tweet this month.

We wanted to bring these few outstanding fans together to thank them for their devotion and to lead a discussion so we could find out what the Jaguars football team means to them and what some of their ideas are to help boost the community’s spirit.

Even though they’re not playing anymore this season, the Jacksonville Jaguars are still contending for a championship.
Thanks to a coordinated effort between the Jaguars organization, their players and Touchdown Jacksonville, the Jaguars are on win away from the Campbell’s Chunky Click for Cans championship. Each week, NFL teams are featured in matchups that mirror the actual NFL schedule. Fans go to clickforcans.com, pick one matchup per day and then vote on the team they want to win. Each game lasts from Tuesday at midnight to the following Monday at 11:59 pm. At the end of the regular season, the top four teams from each conference go to the playoffs. Right now the Jaguars are facing the Packers for the title. Campbell’s Chunky Soup and the NFL will donate 18-thousand cans to a food bank in the championship team’s city.
The Green Bay Packers have won the Click for Cans competition for the last seven years. However, the Jaguars are looking like they are poised to end that streak. The Jaguars had the most votes of the four teams that made the playoffs in their semifinals win over Buffalo with more than 100-thousand. In fact, the Jaguars have been so dominant that the media in Green Bay has even taken notice.
Touchdown Jacksonville, through the Dalton Agency, has helped stuff the ballot box with a social media campaign involving both Facebook and Twitter. Dalton Agency employees are helping remind fans on a consistent basis to vote once a day to make sure the Jaguars come out on top each week. So far the tactics have been working.
The Jaguars have yet to lose.
