Dalton takes part in Downtown MarCom Mashup

On Thursday, July 28, Aliera Peterson, a Social Media Manager at the agency, and I had the chance to be a part of the “Downtown MarCom Mashup.” This great event organized by Downtown Vision, Inc. was held at MOCA in downtown Jacksonville.

The event was designed to bring downtown Jacksonville businesses together to share ideas about what each business does and how we could all work together. Since the Dalton Agency is fortunate to not only represent some downtown Jacksonville business but is also located downtown, Aliera and I had the chance to share information about Farah & Farah, Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront and Dalton.

More than a dozen downtown businesses also shared their information and ideas: the Florida Theatre, the Nonprofit Center of Northeast Florida, the Jacksonville Landing, Daniel James Salon, The Peninsula Condos, Burrito Gallery, Suddath Company, 927 Events, MOCA, Café Nola, the Jacksonville Symphony, Zodiac Bar & Grill, Jacksonville Economic Development Commission, Broadway in Jacksonville, Burro Bags and Burro Bar.

The short presentations done by a representative from each business gave others ideas for how to partner through methods like joint events and sponsorships. One of the most popular ideas was for businesses to share information about each other’s events and services via social media channels such as Facebook and Twitter.
