The Dalton Agency has been building custom Facebook tabs for our clients for awhile now, but recently Facebook announced a major upgrade that has huge ramifications for how we approach branded Facebook pages. Now, thanks to Facebook’s support of iFrames as the model for building apps on its Pages, we can begin bringing the brand experience your visitors have on your brand’s website to your Facebook page.
Unlike the limited FBML model before it, iFrames allows developers, like the Dalton Agency, to really open up on what’s possible with a Facebook tab. Increased functionality, applications, data collection, share functionality, upgraded video capabilities, e-commerce, and many other features are now available to your visitors’ Facebook experience, including “like” gating functionality so visitors have to like your page to see your exclusive content. Basically if it can be done on a website, there is a very good chance we can bring it to life on your Facebook.
We’d love to talk to you about ways we can energize your brand’s Facebook experience.
Here are a few examples of both iFrame and FBML tabs we have done for our clients.
