McDonald’s Offers Food for Thought

A lot of McDonald’s owners are also parents.

That’s why they felt it was important to help kids in Florida taking the FCAT fuel up for the first day of their big week.

McDonald’s restaurants throughout Florida offered a free breakfast to kids preparing to take the FCAT Tuesday morning.  Between the hours of 6:00 and 9:00 am, McDonald’s provided students with an Egg McMuffin®, Apple Dippers and a milk or small orange juice.

Response to the promotion was tremendous as stores gave away hundreds of free meals.  Thanks to the Dalton Agency’s media outreach leading up to the event, local television stations in Jacksonville and Orlando were on hand as cars lined up outside at the drive thru and customers packed the lobby inside.  All the parents and kids who attended enjoyed getting their days off to a great start.

McDonald’s would like to wish all students taking the FCAT this week good luck!
